mfl1776: "I should mention that the dates of my trip have changed. I'm now going July 9-13. Same route. One of my trip buddies is almost certainly out and the other is still 50/50. Still not 100% sure if I'll need a partner but if this sparks anyone's interest, let me know."
So both of my trip partners have officially bailed on me. I've extended the offer to every able-bodied human I know and I have had zero takers. I can tell from the level of response I've gotten to my original posts that I won't likely find anyone interested in joining me for these particular dates (July 9-13) for this particular EP (38) and this particular route (Cherokee Loop). But...nonetheless...trying one last time as I know there are some great folks on here who are always up for an adventure to the B-Dub - timing and logistics aside.
This will most likely end up being a solo trip (my first) and I'm sure I'll have a fine time but going alone is not my first choice. I would prefer company as I am a gregarious person, especially after my morning coffee and talking to myself isn't as interesting as to another person. (The paradox of being drawn to wild places of solitude while also craving human interaction does not escape me).
I have the entry permit. Again, entering at 38 on Monday July 9, going up to Cherokee and down through the Temp lakes, Kelly, Burnt, and so on. Exiting at Sawbill on Friday July 13 in the morning (plan is to catch a flight out of Duluth back to NC in the evening). Would like to keep moving every day but not epic-length days. Plan to fish a lot. Using Sawbill Outfitters, if that wasn't apparent from previous details.
So thanks in advance to anyone willing to consider. I'm open to suggestions for other routes if you'd prefer a different itinerary, though the EP is firm, obviously.
