Fantastic trip report! Sorry you lost the bet, but if you collect a beer or two (I feel I owe you one) from everyone laughing with the group while reading the report, you'll come out way ahead. Already looking forward to your next report.

Nice report on an area that I have wanted to explore for some time.

As I lament on next year's trip and whether Im going solo or with our group your report reminds me of the fun that is had when you trip with a group.

What an enjoyable trip report! Loved it, enjoyed going to an area I never experienced, and really appreciated your pictures! Thanks for sharing.

I know! It's tough. I love the personal benefits of a solo trip, but there's just something about a campfire that makes it more special when shared with others! I always try to do both if I can.

You're welcome! I've never written a trip report and I think it really helps make the trip memories even more special and the re-living of it softens the 'ole "post trip letdown" syndrome. :)

Yes, I'm sorry I lost the bet too! I'm have no doubt I'll be reminided of it every year henceforth. :)

Nice trip report! Very enjoyable to read. There are so many neat places up there, it is hard to decide whether to go back to a place you really enjoy, or to explore a new area. Thanks for sharing the adventure, reading about trips just increases the desire to head out again!

Enjoyed the report; it brought back memories of the first trip I took my brother on through Crab Lake.

Ya, I often have that debate with myself, particularly if I'm on a trip with someone who is new or does not trip very often. Always nice to go to a familiar area so you know exactly what you're headed into, but nothing beats getting to see something new and wonderful. 'Course, I guess that's one of the great advantages of these trip reports; to have reasonable expectations for where you're headed.
