I only had my Hoks out once last winter. Planning to change that this winter! Now I just hope we get some snow.

Here's hoping that this year's snow cover begins as early as last year's.

First ski of the season at Hidden Valley in Ely. A little gritty but plenty good for November. Good enough that it was worth an extra lap or two.

My boys and I got in our first ski at Elm Creek. The technique started to come back by the end. Today will be prettier, hopefully. Its great to be skiing.

Good skiing in Ely now with the recent snow. Skied the North Arm trails today.

Also decent skiing in West Yellowstone and at Crosscut Nordic (next to Bridger Bowl outside Bozeman). Crosscut added a "Narrow Gauge" trail network this year; twisty narrow trails for classic skiing. Serious fun.

I got to ski a half dozen times this year on Mt Hood. Now I’m home with some time off. I’ll probably try a short BWCA ski trip - although my track record on those is not good.

Skiing fabulous at Galena Lodge in Idaho; between SunValley and Stanley about 3/4 of the way up the Galena Pass. I was supposed to check out this morning but I keep extending my time.
