Hello everyone,
My wife and I will be heading up on the 16th and spending the night in Ely before hitting the water for 5 days. I was curious about lodging. Does anybody have suggestions on a good place to stay that night in Ely? The plan is to get everything squared away Saturday evening and get a good nights sleep, wake up early and eat at Brittons and head out for the water to begin the trip. I have searched around online but figured it would be much better info asking the people who would actually know what was going on.

Have stayed at all the lodging choices available in Ely. They all offer clean, comfortable accommodations . Pricing competitive by all the establishments . Grand Ely Lodge is very nice, but is on the higher end as far as price.

I too have stayed at most if not all of them. Currently I really like Adventure Inn because it has some nice outdoor seating to enjoy the evening before bed. I like to book a ground level room so it's easy to bring all my gear in to do final packing. They also have good coffee and pastries in the morning for a quick start to the EP in the morning.

Depends on your budget and what you’re looking for. The Paddle Inn is a decent, clean motel. You’re with your wife - sometimes that means something a little nicer. The Grand Ely Lodge is very nice. When my wife and I went into the BW a few years ago, those were our before trip (Paddle Inn) and after trip (Grand Ely) places.
