I have a bug shirt, but other members in my party are looking at getting them as we are anticipating the bugs to be pretty bad next week. We put in Sunday. Does anyone know of any retailers in Duluth or Ely that carry them in store? They don't have time to order them at this point.

They're not, but I will be. Was planning to stop by to get some more tarp cordage. i'll check it out. Will also call the other places. Thanks!

Thanks Guys- there is a retailer list on Original Bug Shirt website. Midwest Mountaineering and Duluth Pack Store in Duluth carry them along our route.

Funny thing, I bought an Original Bug Shirt at Canoecopia maybe 5 yrs ago. I tried it on for fit at the show and have never worn it on a trip. It is well traveled but completely unused.

They had copied the original bug shirt and sold them as theirs... my one little beef with them.

We bought the true originals at Piragis a long time ago and they are currently selling them too. Can’t say I’ve checked all the time in between.

We definitely always take them even if they rarely get used.

I took the Original Bug Shirt on several trips and was reasonable happy with it. My biggest problem with it, is that it can get really hot wearing it on warmer days.
I have since gone to long sleeve lightweight fishing shirts and a light headnet... way more comfortable and versatile for me.

I bought one at Piragis store in Ely last August. They had knock-offs and 'Original Bug Shirt' brand as well.
