I use the free online maps all the time in planning etc. It seems the site has been down for about 2 weeks or so. Anyone know if they will be up and running again or not? It's a valuable tool that I have gotten used to in planning trips etc.

Wow, glad I downloaded all the maps a few years back. Bummer, their maps were interesting to look at. Pretty niche market though.

That's a huge loss. I liked those maps a lot. I will have to laminate the ones I have to keep them from deteriorating.

Wow. I’m glad I bought a full set when I had the chance!

I’m glad I rounded mine out to a full set (10) too. Good for planning.

I had a suspicion about this happening a few months ago when someone on this board had trouble contacting them. Repeatedly.

That is sad......I liked their maps.

They are my favorite set of maps. A lot of extra info comes with each one. I also like that they have a view of the whole BWCA on the back. If you need to go "off map" and don't have one, the back side is a back up map.

Very sad news. These were the best paper maps, in my opinion.

I was in the Lake Superior Trading Post today and there was a sign that Voyager Maps had closed.

Probably some $$$ to buy their IP and debt.

Find a way to get in touch with the owner of the company, probably? If you don't know how to get a hold of them, it seems like their name/address/contact info is available if you do a whois lookup on the domain at https://whois.networksolutions.com.
