mock one.
this look's fun, i am currently asking questions with them and checking it out. could be great for car camping, if you like sleeping in a hammock. i'd get the bug net, and put it under my ccs tarp. damn, new toy's anyway.

Probably wouldn't be too bad for basecamping entry lakes either

looks like a fun rec item. The comment about padding for head and feet seems to suggest it may not be very long...longer folks might experience a hangover.

This would be to a true camping hammock as a inflatable pool toy is to a real canoe.

If you'd like to explore and honest solution, try the Tensa4 hammock stand. I own a dozen hammocks, several tarps, quilts and accesories. Most importantly, I own a Tensa4 stand and vouch for its comfort.

It's just a shame that the Tensa has to cost as much as a does for a stand. Obviously there are others who have money and/or priorities that are different than mine, but I'd rather go to ground than drop $300 just to stay off the ground in the rare circumstances that no other option exists.

Looks like you are bent like a banana in it.

Agree with what others have said - this does not look like it's a real camping hammock.

Would recommend taking a look at the Warbonnet line of hammocks, Ridgerunner specifically. There are several other brands...

Again, the product you've linked to looks like it has strong opportunity to disappoint.

"new toys"

Got that one right!
I take it you're not going to part with your other hammocks, Curt.

butthead

PS: Curt is an experienced hammock camper and I'm sure understands the limitations. Read his first post before being critical. bh

yes it looks too short for anyone under 6'. AND there is not enough material side to side for a comfortable diagonal lie, like my dutchware chameleon, or other cottage vendor hammocks i own. cheers!

It seems important to let anyone reading this thread know that the product would represent a "less than ideal" solution for anyone who likes sleeping in a hammock. Original post suggests bwcasolo is NOT aware of the products limitations.

"Currently asking questions and checking it out" from the original post suggests a critical eye toward the product is warranted and wanted.

So we agree, the Mock One isn't worth purchasing.
