We just returned to South Carolina from Harrisburg, PA where two of my sons and I attended the Great American Outdoor Show. Wow, what an amazing event. Fishing outfitters from all over Quebec and Ontario. Probably two dozen or more but only one representing the Boundary Waters. John S., who is the owner of North Country Canoe Outfitters, was there with a first class booth. NCCO's is in Ely and has outfitted ten trips for my family and Boy Scout Troop combined. Talking with those Canadian outfitters and seeing the price tags helped me realize how much price value there is in an Ely-based Boundary Waters trip. Looking forward to seeing John and his team back in Ely in June.
