Northern Pike are split into "zones" for management in Minnesota. The BWCA falls into the northeast zone, which is everything north and east of Hwy 53 from Duluth to Intl Falls.

The Northeast Zone calls for a limit of 2 Northern Pike and a protected slot for 30-40 inch fish -- meaning everything from 30-40 inches is to be released immediately. One trophy over 40 inches can be kept.

Pike Zones.

As always -- be aware of any potential special regulations (border waters etc) that may be in affect for the specific lakes you fish.
