Off the echo trail. Not in BWCA, but
National Forest.
Earlier today, I left my hammock straps and netting ridgeline on two trees at the second campsite going clockwise from boat launch. (Not the island site, on land.)
Site has huge flat rock landing, then take trail to right and obvious hammock trees along shore.
Dang, I am so bummed!!
If anyone is fishing there or paddling, I'd sure appreciate it if you could rescue them. If so, email me to connect.

That’s great news! When I loose something I alway feel worse about making a mistake than I do about the value of the item.
Ben - As long as you’re in the area I lost a watch four years ago on the The Moose River north by where you can get out of the canoe and climb up to the overlook. Green band, black bezel. Thanks.

Your marbles will be easy to spot... they are heart shaped..."
Okay, why am I red all of sudden?
I will paddle eternal, Kevlar and carbon.

I don’t know... but you’re one anyone can depend on if in need. Big heart like so many here. You drove quite a distance once to help an old canoe hauler I know... I gotta say, Maine is a beautiful state!... when your vehicle is running good. Haha.

CStoke: "I'll be there in late June and will give it a shot. Did it seem like alot of people were staying out there?"
Campground not open of course. I think only one campsite was in use besides mine... the island site. With little use, you might fight nature for a spot in the woods... and it might take some creativity to find the latrine :)

CStoke: "BWPaddler- How were the sites this year? I stayed on the Eastern end site a couple years ago but haven't been out there since. We have a June reservation for Jeanette campground but it may not be open in time..."
Hopefully the campground will be open for you! Sites I checked out (only two) were definitely little-used. Barely room for one small (3p) tent at the site where I was. And that was setting up over new ferns. :( No real trail to latrine at my site, had to guess and follow open area.
Nice lake though!!
