I'm thinking of making a free style paddle and looking for some guidance on where to look for dimensions. I did a search for free style paddles and found several images but no specifications. In their book "Canoe Paddles", Warren and Gidmark give detailed specs. for a Sugar Island paddle that looks pretty close. The first paddle I made actually was a Sugar Island, but I went over the top a bit with hardwood and it is way to heavy. Any suggestions ?
