For now, Britton's is takeout only.

I've been badgering the Ely Chamber to make their weekly COVID businesses update list available online. It's a decent spreadsheet of information, updated each Monday, and can be found in printed form in various places, such as outfitters. But it would be most beneficial for visitors planning their time in Ely to be able to find it ahead of time.

Brittons, Ely Steakhouse, Grand Ely Lodge, and Boathouse Brewpub all are open and have indoor seating. Most have shortened their hours of operation mainly in the evening. Insula is currently curbside only.

I’d done some research on this. Would love to eat breakfast at Britton’s the morning we head in. We were told it had an awesome breakfast last year but didn’t get to partake. My wife is concerned about Covid and doesn’t want to eat in restaurants. My daughter is a celiac so we’ve decided to not eat in restaurants on the way up for sure. Might do some curbside night we come off the water since we stay in Ely that night. Just can’t risk glutening her before we go out for 7 days.

Does anyone know if Semers Park has grills in place? Where I could just bring charcoal with and use a permanent grill in the park. I was told Whiteside park does not. We’re thinking we’ll just make brats or burgers at the park the night prior.

The street view on Google maps shows lots of picnic tables and a large fire pit, but I see none of those grills there.

Unless it has changed its open policy, I ate at Britton's (inside) the third week of June.

We were in the Boathouse Brewpub last week. Only 5 to a table and spread out so might need to split up a larger group.

I thought Ely didn’t want tourists coming for fear of spreading the virus?

Seems like the last three months on the fb group was “stay away” and “don’t come here”.

You could use one of those disposable grills, buy or make your own. Then you have many options of where to cook.

Insula, by the way, has excellent breakfasts.

Speaking on this, We're heading up to Fall Lake in early August. Is Dorthy Molters museum open? The wolf or bear parks? Outfitters?

I know the wolf center is, but with restrictions-better check.
