I'm heading up to Disappointment via snowbank and parent later this week. Anyone have any news on the bite? This is my kids, 9 and 7, first trip and I'm hoping to get them each on some fun fish.

I dont have any current info but it should be a solid bite on that lake. Check the map of the lake on this site. It has a lot of hot spots marked on the MAP.

I would troll the shore lines just past the first break or the weed lines, about 10-15' deep. You will catch plenty of northerns and SMB. I'd be leery of 2 young ones casting from the same canoe.

I took my kids a few years ago end of August. We had good luck with white wacky worms in the evening casting. Easy lure to fish for kids for small mouth. Walleyes will be pretty deep I’d guess. With kids maybe vertical jig deeper water off points or the from or back side of narrows.
