Not really new music...but maybe you haven't heard...or maybe you have. Vote for your fav! Have a good weekend.

JD McPherson - Lucky Penny

Kaleo - No Good.

Here is one for the Johnny Cash and Led Zepp fans...I love both! So this song is great!
Surreal McCoys - Whole Lotta Folsom

In tribute to a previous post, my fav Larkin Poe vid.

Larkin Poe - Jam in the Van, Black Betty

From Philly:

Low Cut Connie - Boozophilia

Good stuff Wharf.

I liked Boozophilie the best, then it was a toss up between Lucky Penny and Whole Lotta Folsom.

I've heard a lot of Larkin Poe including that cover so not much is new to me there. I just bought their newest two albums. I think some of their first originals are better than their newer recordings.

I just heard a new song at lunch called Wolf Totem by the Hu. I looked it up and it must be a promotional piece. Nevertheless, here it is. Hu would of thunk it?

At first I thought it sounded like a soundtrack to The Vikings...Then I saw the official video...Mongolians? This is how Atilla the Hun would march onto the battlefield in the modern era!

I saw the official video too while looking for the remix I heard. I also saw the remix is on the soundtrack of the upcoming movie: The Retaliators. Oh well.

Love them or hate them, the band that listened to their grandparent’s vinyl has come out with a new one.

My Way, Soon

Liked it Inspector, I saw a couple Ovation guitars in that video.

What a wide spectrum of music you have with your two shares today.

Variety is the spice of life.

You should have seen the look on a co-worker’s face 20 years ago when we went out for lunch at a Mexican restaurant. An assortment of Latino music of varying genres were playing in the background. She was dumbfounded when I said, "Hey, That’s King Chango."

Man, I have such a love/hate with this band. I love the riffs in their songs. Not the most inspirational/mature lyrics....but they are kids still...So maybe...

I'm heading to the woods so this one is a day early. I found it while looking for "Halloween music".

You picked a good weekend to head out, warm weather for Nov.
Justin Johnson has some talent: he could probably make a shovel sound good

The Foo Fighters have a new album coming out February 5th. I'm not impressed by its first single Shame Shame.

Smashing Pumpkins is also releasing a new album soon. Birch Grove is a single from that album.

And I heard Sturgill Simpson re-recorded some of his songs in bluegrass style. Here is Breakers Roar from that album.

Darrell Scott, some players sing and strum along and some players meld their voice with the voice of the guitar, and they work as one. I have a thing about coal mining songs, my father was from Western Pennsylvania, my Grandfather went to work in the mines at the age of 13 to support his family after his father died in a mine accident.

Sturgill has released a second "Cuttin' Grass" now as well. What a band - love Sierra Hull on mandolin.
I saw Sturgill open for Dwight Yoakam. Had no idea who he was and he'd just put out his first album. I was a fan from the first song. After the show, was in a hurry to get out and beat the traffic outta the garage. Should have stopped to chat with the guy at the merch table - Sturgill Simpson himself.

And I thought only Jerry staffed his own table. : )
