Nowadays, I don't generally get overly excited for a trip really far in advance like I used to do. Geez, I used to get researching in January and would wait semi-patiently as half a year ticked by.

Now I'm mellow right up to the time I start dehydrating meals a couple of weeks out. And boy did it get me going tonight as I added spaghetti to my dehydrator! 3 weeks out and were in. We've never tripped this late before and can not wait to see what color awaits us. Cheers.

Awesome! I’ve done a trip every year in May since 2004, 50/50 BWCA or Quetico. This year I retired and planned on 3 trips this spring/summer before all the covid-19 chaos. By March I though none of it would happen. That said, I did my May trip (loop starting at EP 16). Also did a a trip in early Aug (Tow into LLC from Anderson on Crane Lake), and the first time being out that late in the year. Now I head out in a a week from EP 25 targeting Knife Lake-trip 3! With a little flexibility my worries were unfounded and I will make my three trips this year, as planned. Next year I’m planning on four trips.

Hope the colors are fantastic and that the weather gods smile on you. Yes, adding meals to the dehydrator makes it REAL! Post some photos when you're back.

You know, were not really sure yet. Was thinking about going in at Baker and heading to Burnt and maybe looping around through the fire lakes for Sawbill come out. Were old so we take smaller trips these days. That said, after looking at that portage into Burnt, I'm reworking our plan. I've read it's tough.
