My friend and I have a trip planned for the 2nd week in Sept and after all our planning, the canoe we were planning on using is no longer available.
I arrived here 2 weeks ago and we've been planning this for 6 months now. All reservations are made and to be truthful, I am running low on funds (as well as he). He works but bi-weekly paychecks will not sync with our entry date. I get SSD once a month, and well, I don't get paid until we're in the BWCA.
Buying a new one isn't an option...
Buying a used one is nearly impossible but heck, it's going to push limits... if only inexpensive and hold two people and gear, safely
Renting one is possible but paying on the way out would work so much better, and even there it's really expensive for the time we're planning.
Borrowing one would be a lifesaver!!!
I'm just putting out an S.O.S. if someone out there could help out!
I'm from South Carolina. I am currently staying with my friend close to Rochester. We're planning to go up the North Shore before going to Seagull. I also put an S.O.S. to the Heroes on the Water Organization. Thanks for asking! Joe
