Great canoeing article in the MN Conservation Volunteer magainze, March-April 2021 issue.

When the Light is On, You Go- "Rapids are always right around the bend for wilderness canoeist Bob O'Hara, perhaps the most influential Minnesota adventurer you've never heard of."

Doesn't appear these articles go online until after a few new issues are out. So can't find the article anywhere online.

Get your hands on it, maybe local library (for those in Minnesota).

If they post the article online in a few months, I'll try to remember and link.

Great read, thank you! I seem to remember hearing Bob O'hara give a talk about paddling the Back River while at the scout base on Moose Lake. Would have been in the late 70's, so he was well into those trips by then!

A Good read about Bob O'Hara and some of his canoeing adventures. He coached me over the years and helped with planning when I went down the Kazan River. A wealth of knowledge about the Far north.
