There is a portage, but you can gain access by paddling also.
Entry (up ahead....through the cut in the trees)

Exit

or vice versa

another rock face (seen in original photo to right).....AND.....the only campsite on this lake sits on the top of this chunk of rock

03/12/2021 05:06PM
that only portage is about 200 feet left of this campsite and leads to a much larger lake than this one

If these paddlers were going the opposite direction, and did one short portage, they would arrive at the same lake that the longer, aforementioned portage leads to.

Let's try Thumb....since I'm all thumbs today....

Thumb is a fair distance away, but it is the closest of all the guesses so far.

As stated earlier, this is a small lake, one campsite, but it lies between two larger , "destination" lakes

Is this in a PMA?

No

Another rock face.....looking SW....at the SW end of lake. The river exits left (south) at the base of the rock face. The same river that entered the NE end and shares its name with lake in question

LOL! How about Korb?

03/12/2021 07:31PM
Well praise the Lord and pass the trail mix, we have a winner! Korb it is!
We entered Korb and took the portage to Cummings. Two days later, we took the short portage out of Cummings into the Korb River and made a loop out of it to see "new country". The tamaracks were just getting golden.
