I’m on my 2nd pass through the audiobook. How cow is this good! It tells the story of the Comanche Indians in the 1800’s. There’s a subplot of the capture of 9 year old white settler girl Cynthia Ann Parker who fathers a great Comanche Chief. It’s just fantastic and if you’re a fan of the Native Americans who mastered their horses, terrorized the lower plains and fought Texas Rangers you will love this true account. The book was a finalist for the Pulitzer.
The author takes no political position and the accounts can get very graphic but not salacious to sell books, rather just as factual evidence. Let's just say, you would not want to get on the Comanche's bad side.
