70 hrs and counting until we push off for our 10-day adventure. Gear is laid out and we're doing a last "do we really need this" checklist. I do find the food to be the hardest part of a trip with multiple people (my son and I). I was debating on taking the reflector stove since it's only going to be used once for Pizza. That was the one meal I didn't tell my son about and wanted to surprise him on the second night on Cherokee.

The other pain is fishing gear. Seeing we're going in 5 days before the opener, we gotta lug the rods and tackle box around. I'm going to take only what I feel necessary for the 4 days of fishing we'll do. I'll be on Makwa for the opener and then down the Lady Chain on our way out.

I'll put together a trip report once back and let everyone know what worked and what didn't for me.

Mackwa is an incredible lake. You will like it there. It is a little ways in but worth it.

I’ve got 5 days to get there from Sawbill with some stops on Cherokee and Little Sag.
