Would love to do a fly-in to a remote part of the park this summer. I'm guessing that we won't know much more about access to Canada until it's too late to plan something, so does anyone have such a trip they have done and can recommend?

Which "park"? I think BWCA fly-ins land on Canadian lakes which are not happening.

Thanks. I guess I didn't realize that there were no fly-in trips in the BW.

Wistfully hoping to do a fly-in further north late this season if the border opens...

Non-emergency aircraft cannot fly over the BWCAW lower than 4000 ft Mean Sea Level (MSL). The BWCAW is generally around 1200 MSL so a plane must fly at least 2800 ft Above Ground Level (AGL). Obviously, this precludes landing on any lake in the wilderness.

Yeah, only fly-ins allowed in Quetico and until the border/park opens up none of that is happening for US folks.

You can still paddle the bw with a fly-in... your plane just has to be able to land in Quetico. Would that require a RABC permit as well? And a day permit for Q?

My understanding is you can't go to Canada from here, and vice versa...

Yes, for now. Asking for later.
