Has anyone used Berkley’s whopper plopper knockoff?

Yes I have. It basically works the same. The prop spins in opposite direction and I find them to be a little louder than plopper. I got a couple of smallmouth on them during my spring trip but it was mid May and bass were not that into top water yet.

Or, how about the Bucher Top Raider knock-off by River2Sea?

I’m mistaken. The prop turns in the same direction. I was using it yesterday on a trip in NH. Did really good on smallmouth and largemouths. I’ve never tried the other knock off.

They are all Knock offs of the "Mud Puppy" by C.C. Roberts, which is still being made after 103 years.

The choppo is the best. I’ve got lots of fish using them…and they’re cheaper!
