My daughter, her friend, and I will be spending a few days in the BW. The young ladies will not fish at all. Do they need a license if I have a rod in the canoe. I plan to only bring one rod since fishing is very low on the to-do list for this trip.
Thanks

Like others have said, you should only need one license.
Side note we had a conservation officer, game warden show up at our campsite on lake 4. Only 3 out of the four guys were actually fishing from shore at the time. He wanted everyone’s fishing license! Even my buddy who was sleeping in the tent.

I had just the opposite at Turtle-Flambeau Flowage. My buddy was on shore getting rods and tackle ready. Warden never asked for his license. I was fishing solo just out from camp. The Warden motored over and checked my license.

I appreciate all the feedback. I'm actually an avid offshore saltwater fisherman and fly angler. My daughter has been involved in some epic fishing trips and it just never has been something she picked up. My son on the other hand......

Just to follow-up. My daughter and her friend are both adults. I left that part out by accident. Would that change the requirement? Most places I have fished over the years requires a license for all on the boat if there is fishing equipment on that boat.
Thanks again for the guidance.

No, it would not change the requirement. Only those adults who are actually fishing need a license.
