This is a 40 year old kevlar Sundowner. But the front seat busted loose, slammed to the bottom and tore through the hull. How do I repair it?

Also, I'm thinking of a new paint job on the whole canoe. I think she's got some life in her yet. How do I go about this? What materials do I use?

There are numerous article on hull repair both here and elsewhere on the internet. Google is your friend. Fiberglass cloth patches with either epoxy or vinyl ester resin inside and out are the usual approaches. I would go with fiberglass as kevlar is harder to work with.
