I was wanting to explore the Timber Frear canoe area for a quick hassle free solo getaway but the forest service strongly requested I stay clear as it is so close to the BWCA fires.

Any ideas for a quick couple day trip I can solo with my dog?

Bob.

I would normally agree but the last couple of times I have been on the river motor boats took all but one site, which they could not reach because of low water.
