I drove back to my winter camping spot in the Hiawatha National Forest to do a little site grooming. The weather was great! I was able to build a nice stash of wood for the stove by collecting slashings where timber had been logged a few years ago. I leaned the wood up on a nearby tree in hopes that it will dry some more before January. I also cleaned and leveled my tent site with a small shovel and rake.
I'll check on things again in December... hope the wood is still there!
