Five months to the date beginning at 6:00 am CST. (Except on December 26th when they began accepting reservations at about 6:45 am.) I was able to procure a permit for Quetico through Beaverhouse on May 26. Hoping for a two week opportunity. Group solo. Multiple solo boats, each autonomous except we share a campsite. Pulled out the maps last night and am exploring in dreamland.
Never better, attitude is a choice.

Which entry point are you going into to access Canada? Are you using an outfitter? My outfitter said that Quetico was still shut tight, but that may be for those of using an outfitter/boat entry going in on the Western entry points. Please advise.

That's my understanding. As of now the only way to do it is to enter Canada first (though an open customs office) and then proceed.
For example, coming from the west one could drive to International Falls, cross over to Fort Frances, go though Canada Customs (CBSA), then head to one of the Ranger Stations you can access via ON-11, such as Beaverhouse, to pick up your permit, and then proceed accordingly.
It's not clear at this point if the Canada Customs at Sand Point will be open this summer. If not, and if the RABC program doesn't open, Quetico entry via a tow from Crane Lake won't be an option.
If the RABC program is reinstated then access via LCC (presumably via a tow from Crane Lake), Prairie Portage, or Cache Bay would be possible.
