Planning a canoe trip this spring into Pipestone Bay Area June 12-18. Are the motor boaters able to take campsites or are they reserved for overnight paddlers. This will be my first trip into a motorized area so I'm not quite sure what to expect outside a little extra noise.

Overnight motor permits allow the use of the same campsites as canoes, day motor permits do not, same as day canoe permits. I have always enjoyed Basswood and have only occasionally been bothered by motorboats.

Assuming this is a heavy traffic entry point, (like every ep in mid June) how much pressure do the camp sites get in this area. I'll need a site adequate for two medium to large tents. (7 person group: 4 adults 3 kids)
