I would like to buy a Bell Northstar, Northstar Polaris or a Northwind 16 (with tumblehome). I am particularly interested in blacklite/carbon/non-kevlight layups for this canoe. Let me know if you have one for sale or that you would consider an offer on. I am located in Minnesota, but would be willing to make a trip in a couple of weeks for the right canoe.

I do have a Bell Northstar for sale in Minnesota. Twin Cities area. Overall in good shape. Wicker seat needs replacement (see picture). Gunwales need more teak oil. I was planning on doing the oiling this spring. The photo of the hull shows the worst area. Email me for further information and questions.

I see you are also interested in whitewater. I have a Wenonah Rendezvous, which is made for whitewater canoeing, for sale also.

Love seeing the old Bell canoes coming out of the woods. Speaking of wood work, I have no interest in the sale, but it looks like that one might need more than just teak oil?

Photos look like it might need all new trim (rails, thwarts, drops, seats)? Even just as a bare hull, a black North Star is a great boat, very worthy of attention for someone willing to invest the time or $ to make it right.

Agree; more than oil is needed on all parts there.

I just want to thank everyone for your negative comments on my canoe. (Note: It is sold.) I just want you to know that the pictures are representative of the canoe. The color of the inside and the wood is the original color. Yes it was and still is the dark wood color!!! The thwarts, yokes, drops, etc are strong as ever. So without actually seeing a canoe you may want to hold off on your judgement.

The canoe definitely needs new gunnels and deck plates. That you can see from the pictures. The thwarts and yoke will live to see another day on the water. I appreciate the feedback from other members and didn't view them as negative. Glad we could work something out.
