I have a permit for May 17th. My grandson had to bow out because of school.
We were planning on going down the Kawishiwi River, but open to going east on the number chain.
Was planning on fishing and moderate travel. I have all the gear and enough food for a army. Can use solo or tandem canoe. E-mail if you are interested.

Carl.. I have a permit for EP 64 East Bearskin. My crew bailed on the trip cuz of the late ice. I have several days on the permit as I’m going on a photography / YouTube mission. But my goal is to head to a lake that’s a good Brookie lake and fish for multiple days. Trying to work in Johnson Falls as well but I’m in no rush and not pushing it at all. I have a lot of pro photo gear with me so I’m taking it slow n easy n want to fish a few days at each site. I have no schedule for atleast a month. I have to keep my permit due to the photo mission but your welcome to join if you’re not gonna go your route.. Up to you. I’m solo n heavy. You would need your own gear n grub. Just reading this now, and sorry I couldn’t have gone along. I bet it would’ve been fun?!
Hopefully you are making your way down the Kawishiwi right now and the weather is in your favor.
If you haven’t been able to make this trip happen and are open to going in a few weeks, this is something I am most definitely interested in and would like to chat more. If not then maybe we could plan for 2023 around this same time?

Allen and I are at Lake Four now. Choose not to go down the Kawishiwi River because of high water, South kawishiwi is at near record highs. Today we have been having storms and it look like they will continue. I am always interested in another trip. Have trips planned for June 1, July 12, and August 8.
