While looking at the REI anniversary sale, I came across Moosejaw’s sale. I ordered a new MSR stove and a Platypus gravity water filter at a 25% discount. If you need something for this season, maybe now is the time!

I just received an order from a company that I had never used before, but will check out in the future when I am in need of new gear. The company is everestgear.com in Granville Ohio. They are aimed mostly mountaineering, but handle a good variety of products. They are also having some great sales going on right now.

I was in the market for a Freestanding lightweight tent. I had decided on he Mountain Hardwear Aspect 2 and started searching the net for one. Most of the big dealers are out of this model, but EverestGear had 4 in stock at the old price instead of the 2022 price ($429 vs. $500), with 25% off of that, plus free shipping. for a total price of $322.46. I called them (they actually post their phone number and answer the phone!) to verify the price and that it was in stock. I ordered it on Thursday afternoon and received it on Monday at 1:15.
