Hi all,

Have you ever caught a walleye while trolling the purpledescent rapala?

Yes, and some rather large ones.

Not in the BWCA (because we rarely target walleye up there) but we catch them on purpledescent shad raps and purple tiger flicker shads on the Miss river all the time.

I caught a 27" walleye - personal best by lot - on that lure about 3 weeks ago.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

I will take it with on my August trip even though I don't plan to be on a lake trout lake.

I caught a walleye trolling a shallow shad rap on Wood Lake last month.

I was fascinated by how the lure seemed to change appearance in the water. Features that were faint in the air really popped out in the water. It looked amazingly like a ring perch.
