I have been trying to get my Garmin 700 Oregon to show the campsites/portages (and maybe the ratings?) around Sawbill and Alton for a trip next month.

Could anyone please spell out the most straight forward process to load that information onto a "reset" Garmin 700? I like the idea of a transparent overlay onto a detailed map. I've made several runs at this - several of the .gpx files failed to import to BaseCamp, etc etc. Ugh.
