I've imported various files to basecamp (bwca campsites, etc) and dragged those to the Garmin Oregon 700 device/installed SD card. How can I verify that these are correctly installed? I'm in Florida, so far - haven't figured out how to view these ahead of travel. I even created a TRIP and dragged that in. I can't seem to see these active in the device.

You need to go to the "map setup" page and choose it for display.
With the map screen displayed zoom out far as you can and scroll to the BWCA area, zoom in and the way points should show.

butthead: " zoom in and the way points should show."

Good news - that worked, THANK YOU! it took me a long while to find the lake among the millions of acres, lol, but I was persistent.

OTHER NEWS - the WPT - GPX entries I had loaded onto the memory card did NOT appear. I found if I used BASECAMP and dragged a WPT from the memory card to the adjacent internal storage, it would then show in the WayPoint Manager..

Perhaps there is a way to move the GPX entries using just the Garmin Oregon 700 interface, or maybe better yet - have them automatically available, showing in the WayPoint Manager?

My 62 st should have a very similar operating system. In Base Camp I will assemble a map drop waypoints/routes/tracks into that map file. Select the area of my trip being generous, and name it/save it. Connect the GPS and transfer the saved map to the GPS. Find the specific map in the map list on your GPS and set it to display.
