Has anyone been thru Larch Creek recently? I’m wondering if it’s too low to canoe thru.

Replying to this two year old post to update Larch Creek entry information. Nine total beaver dams to traverse. Very narrow first half and murky water. This can be traveled by canoe, but each beaver dam will require you to exit and move the canoe over. The East half of the creek is wider, no beaver dams, and super beautiful to paddle. This would likely be very buggy in mid-summer.

This is an EP where they should set up a new access point, add a parking spot that isn't immediately adjacent to the Gunflint Trail and build a short portage that bypasses the narrowest part of the creek (which at low water is non-navigable anyway). Forcing people to drag through that area immediately adjacent to the EP is not good for the creek and is a PITA.
