Taking my brother on his first trip to the BW next week for five days. We will be base camping on Brule and venturing out from there. He would like to try and get into some lake trout.
I know these three lakes all hold them. Just wondering if anyone has had better luck on one over the others. Any info you can provide would be appreciated.

Chieflonewatie: "We just got back from Brule and caught eighty walleyes in three days."
Nice! What depth/structure were they at and what were you using for lures/bait? Feel free to shoot me an email.

GunflintTrailAngler: "Not that it matters, since the season is closed, but Brule Lake does not have lake trout in it."
Very true. Brule was originally a native lake trout lake, but the introduction of walleyes and smallmouth bass destroyed that fishery...
