I am about to upgrade to macOS 13 Ventura, but everything I read tells me that this will break my ability to use Garmin BaseCamp Mac. Seems like I read that using it in 3D map mode might work, but with serious performance and image degradation issues. Garmin has long held that BaseCamp is legacy software and will not see any further development.
I have years of tracks and waypoints and custom maps saved, all organized by trips and locations that I cannot bear losing. Is there a real replacement for BaseCamp out there that even comes close to its (yes, quirky and limited) functionality to save and utilize my collection of individual data items?
