We spent a couple of nights on Cherry at the narrows site last spring. I can see why you like it. Nice report and some great pics doc! Thanks for posting.

Thanks for the report. We plan on going on a similar route this year except we will start on Saganaga. I haven't decided if I want to tackle the portage from Tuscorora to Missing Link yet.

Go for it...it's not that bad.

I've seen many a shorter portage that are worse that the Tuscarora portage. It's either the Tusc portage or puddle jumping for the same distance to get to Brant.

Nice trip report. Looks like you had a fun time and the weather was cooperating pretty good too. The fire really changes the landscape. I went in at Seagull in 2000 and noticed the storm damage but no fire back then.

Cowdoc
I liked your report and having those maps that show your route gets an A+.

We aborted an extension of our 2007 trip beyond Little Sag. to South Arm. We came in from Kawishiwi Lake and dabbled too long in the Adams/Beaver Lake Country to give it a go. Someday, a loop around to hook up with the Kawishiwi at Alice

It looks like you folks put on the miles. I would have liked to see a summary of miles and time for each of your days. I find it very helpful in my planning when I read reports.

Nice pictures. Thanks

HPD, I think I have the numbers somewhere. I'll look to see and if I don't find them, I'll recalculate them. I think that whole trip was about 55 miles. (daytrip to Cherry not included) I also reread your latest trip as I am planning to go in at Cross Bay this June and am looking forward to "hitting the wall" at Muskeg. The western leg of your trip report will come in handy. I may skip the "mechanic loop" though....I wouldn't want a mutiny!

Nice report. Like the map details. You have a very nice daughter there. You dunn well. She picked us up on Seagull last Friday.

My daughter and I did most of your trip in reverse. The day tripping portion got blown out....literally.
