Because I'm bored and want to think about my trip....
We are planning three nights around McKenzie Bay mid-June. On our way out, we will probably stop at the southern tip of Kawnipi or move to Kenny Lake, then on to Saganagons for our last night before heading out.
I've looked on other sites and looked at posts here, but I'm looking for good campsites JUST north or south of Dead Man's Portage, and then Kawnipi and Kenny. Sounds like Kenny has two nice ones, but what if we stay on Kawnipi? Most of what I find says no one ever stays there, BUT the fishing can be quite good.
We stayed at one up the southern shoreline quite a ways on a point, but it was crappy. The wind just wore us out and it started to pour.
Again, just dreaming about the trip from the keyboard. Thanks
We spent a couple nights at one of the sites just north of Kennebas Falls, on the east shoreline. The site was so-so, but doable with a decent firepit and tent sites. The proximity to fishing at the falls and day tripping to fish in Kenny Lake was a plus. Kenny Lake is awesome, one of my favorites in the park.
