Went back to the park to see if it was any better. In the process, I had to climb over several downed trees across the trail. Back home, I felt something walking on my arm. A tick. Pretty small one, maybe deer tick. This is in a wooded area with a lot of snow and ice. That time again.

For those of you finding ticks, can you please describe what type of ticks you are seeing? In the spring we will start seeing wood ticks (aka American dog ticks), but we also can see the much, much smaller juvenile deer ticks (aka black legged tick) that are about the size of a pin head? There are obvious differences visually and in the diseases they carry. Also where are you?

Southwest Wisconsin - I believe we got into the deer ticks.

The tick was very small-about the size of a pinhead. I am in Dakota County, south of the cities.
