Hello. I'm headed to stay on Burntside in the first week in July and looking for intel on fishing lakers and walleye there. Can anyone help with some experience? Thanks.

We found Burntside to be an absolute walleye factory. Nothing huge, but great numbers. Trolling and casting Rapala Husky Jerks worked well for us. Jigging was good too. We caught some pike and smallies, but mostly walleye. We did not target lakers.

TGO was a past member here, he died a few years ago. He owned the bait shop in Ely called the great outdoors. He also had a place on Burntside where he lived. He always swore by the age old way to catch walleye up there. Leech or minnow on a hook, split shot, and a slip bobber.

I should clarify- my comments were related to the Burntside Lake in Quetico PP, not the one near Ely.
