Hello all,

I'm looking for a fish finder for the BW but also for taking out on Lake Superior in a small craft on calm days. I just want to reliably see depth, structure, and fish. Good battery life would also be nice. I don't care about gps. Thanks for any recommendations!

I have an iBobber. It’s lightweight, good battery life and show’s depth and fish reliably

I am heading to Quetico for 13 days, starting 7/6/23. My set up is a Garmin Striker 4 powered by a Nocqua 10amh battery. I’m using the Ram mount transducer bar. I’m getting 30 hours of battery life real time running the unit and I have a Goal Zero Nomad 20 solar charger to keep it conditioned.

Thanks for the advice. After fairly substantial research, including reading through various threads on this site, I took your advice. Seems like the best and easiest set up for me. I held off on the Ram mount until I have a better sense of how I want to attach to my various craft. Thanks!

My vote is Humminbird Pirahnamax. Awesome little unit. Just spent 8 nights in Quetico and one battery was totally fine. Never lost charge. Just get the suction cup option for the transducer.
