Sad week. Lost my paddling partner pup after many tandem and solo trips. He was 13, Husky/Shepard/+ mix. 65 lbs and completely behaved in and out of the boat. Always got nice comments when folks would see me and Harpua on solo trips in my Magic. He was very heathy until he was diagnosed about 2 months ago with a rare and somewhat aggressive vascular cancer right after returning from a great 60 mile canoe trip. Hope he’s still riding the waves somewhere. Rest in peace Harp….

So sorry to hear. But, it sounds like he gave you great times and great memories.
Mine is 12 and I think she's done doing the aggressive interior portage trips. I'll still take her base camping though. They give everything for us so I want to make sure she's treated right until the end.

I’m so sorry to hear that. My condolences. Congratulations on having such a great tripping partner.
My Echo is almost 12 and each trip I go on with him I hope and pray isn’t his last. During our trip last fall I was telling him it won’t be the same without him.

It's always sad reading of folks losing their best buds.
Sounds like he lived the good life and went on a lot of adventures that most dogs could only dream of doing.
Sorry for your loss, may you always remember Harpua with a smile on your face.
