I usually do 2 BW trips a year. Spring is a solo that Is usually on the East side. I’m looking for suggestions for a base camp smallmouth fishing trip.
I’ve have gone in at entry #47 multiple times and based at Meeds,Caribou,Gaskin and Vista. I was hoping to see a new area and was looking for suggestions for lakes/entry points.
I need an outfitter to supply first night lodging and a solo canoe. I’m in pretty good shape for 60 and moderate portages are good but not looking for anything super hard to get to.
Thanks!

I have a good spot where we caught 40 in 4 hours. Message me for more info.

From EP 62 (Clearwater) we have had good smallmouth success on Caribou at east end of lake and also Mountain in between portage from Clearwater to boundary marker to the west. Good luck! Favorite area of ours as well as others, so EPs go quickly in this area!!

Thanks for the info! Is Clearwater lake a motor lake?

Yes, Clearwater does allow motorboats - think the limit is 10hp. If you travel to Mountain (border lake), the Canadian side also permits motorboat travel.
