I have a question about taking some Baked Beans into the BWCA. With the restrictions on cans and glass is it possible to safely take in canned food either in tupperware or a ziploc bag. Do the beans need to be in a cooler? I would like to take in enough beans for two meals and want to make sure the beans would be safe to eat. Thanks for any input or advice.

I’ve dehydrated baked beans. That works well.

You could repack them and store them next to any frozen foods you pack in. We usually start the trip with frozen meat and egg beaters in a small soft sided cooler. That should keep them just fine for the first couple of days.
