This system has served me well on several Quetico and BWCA trips. The insulated nylon pack has a 5800 Cubic Inch capacity and used with the included poly box keeps perishable foods cold for up to five days of canoe tripping. I've added some foam board insulation of slightly improve the 'factory' specs.

The pack measures 24x19x12.

I'm including a harness with brass fittings for hanging according to current regulations.

This system retails for $420 these days. I'll sell the whole shebang for $190. I live in Mound, Minnesota and you can pick it up. I'll ship it for my cost.

From BWJ -

Recommended use: As a cooler pack for fresh foods. Most effective with insulated Poly Food Box, which is sold separately. Super comfortable pack. Safely carries heavy loads. Full zipper opening top. Specs: 21"w x 24"h x 11 ½" deep; 5800 cu in capacity.

BWJ Double Insulated Food Pack System:

Kevlar, Gor-tex, Lexan and Titanium have taken wilderness canoe camping into the hi-tech 21st Century. Amazingly, many folks will settle for processed freeze dried meals which are woefully short on portion size, calories, energy and taste. Yes, you can subsist on freeze dried in canoe country. But the wilderness experience is all about ?really livin.? The BWJ Double Insulated Food Pack System lets you eat like a king in canoe country. Place two 1-gallon jugs of frozen water in the bottom and enjoy fresh milk for breakfast cereal, deli meats, cheese and fruits for lunch. Steaks, chicken, burgers, veggies and salads for dinner. Managed carefully, you can expect 5+ days cooling at temps in the 70s. Early and late in the paddling season often yield 6 or 7 days cooling. Combining the Poly Food Box (with insulating liner) and this pack is the optimum way to keep fresh foods cold, dry, protected and delicious.

Standard features found on ALL BWJ Performance Packs:

1000 Denier coated Cordura nylon. This fabric is resistant to grease, oil and ultraviolet rays. It is lighter weight and won't absorb water like canvas. It dries fast, is extremely puncture resistant and stands up to the endless abrasion of canoe country rocks. Simply the best material there is for canoe packs.
All full-size packs have double-thickness Cordura bottoms:
Extremely comfortable 3 1/2" wide closed-cell foam, padded shoulder straps with heavily reinforced stitching. Shoulder straps on all 6 models are articulated/curved for a non-binding ride and easy on/off. Steel slide hardware quickly adjusts for proper fit.
2 or 3 nylon front straps with side-release buckles for easy opening/closing. Low profile of buckles won't hang up on canoe or other packs.
Nylon lifting loop stitched to shoulder strap yoke helps with loading and unloading at portage landings and serves as a solid hanging loop.
