So it looks like Google has new aerial images up for part of the burn area that do a nice job of showing where it was a hard burn & where some of the mature trees appear to have survived.

Area with new images looks to go from Suzanette Lake: West, over to Minn and McAree, and everything South of that line.

To my eye it looks like a couple of sites on Ted may still be serviceable.

Looks to me that the main Ted sites got torched. The park burn map made me think that the "message jar" site was spared but the new google images look crispy. My favorite site looks absolutely torched.

I never really checked out the site on the NW shore, that seems that it's spared. Happy that the island with the iconic "Ted Tree" is still green.

Comparing the map images with the areas of the burn I traveled last year my guess is that Ted could be challenging.

I went on Google maps and still see old images? How do I find new ones?

Indeed; glad to see there is some green still there.

Tom, not sure why you can't see them.

Zoomed out, I still show old images. But at a certain zoom level the new images kick in for that part of the park...to the east and north, there is a clear line where they are stitched to old images (pre-burn).

Oh you're’ right, I see it on Google maps now.
I didn’t zoom in on Ted earlier. I was looking at some other burn areas and those have not been updated yet.
