The Bogus Lake fire was discovered yesterday evening, October 8, just north of Bogus Lake within the Superior National Forest – Gunflint Ranger District. Superior National Forest and Minnesota DNR fire crews responded along with aircraft. The fire was active overnight. Today, firefighters and aircraft will be onsite to continue suppression efforts. The Bogus Lake fire is estimated to be 45 acres. Cause: unknown.
