Well spring must be just around the corner. I saw my first Red Winged Black bird today. Yesterday on my way into work saw my first flock of Sandhill Cranes heading north.

With temps forecast to be in the mid 40's the next few days should be seeing Robbins soon.

Interested to know what others have seen as spring draws near.

All the farm fields have some standing water, and there are quite a few Tundra Swans about...very cool. We only see them in the spring.

Several types of Woodpeckers.

And now its snowing. Got to love spring.

The ice went off our local lake here in southern MN on Sunday morning. By Sunday afternoon there was a pair of loons sitting on the lake. Also many diving ducks like Bufflehads, and Redheads are also there. I love springtime.

the blue jays woke me up this morning with their spring call.
Yesterday I saw 11 turkeys in the fields near my home. The big tom was in full strut, trying to impress the ladies.
