I was just lucky enough to get a Wenonah Prism, used, in great shape. I would like to replace the aluminum gunwales and thwarts with wood. What should I do with the holes that the pop rivets go through. Don't think I should use them for attaching the gunwales and I think I should plug or cover them with something.

Leave them, they will be covered up by the new gunwales.

That sounds just fine, thanks.
